Addison Fluid 2 PC Ball Valves are made of Stainless Steel SS316 for higher corrosion resistance than Brass/copper and has a plastic-covered handle for on/off manual control. 2 PC Ball Valve's main characteristics is it is a standard bore ball valve.
The ball valve is a quarter-turn valve which has a floating ball to control flow. The valve is open when the ball's hole is in line with the flow and closed when it is turned 90-degrees by the valve handle. The handle direction is in line with the flow when open, and is perpendicular to it when closed, making for easy visual verification of the ball valve’s open or close status.
It has PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) ball seats and seals for resistance to moisture, chemicals and high temperatures. This inline valve has a Standard port flow and female British Standard Pipe Thread (BSP) or National Pipe Taper (NPT) threads for connecting two male threaded pipe or pipe fittings. The pressure rating is 1000 WOG: Max 1000 psi for Water, Oil, Lower for Gas applications. Ball valves are relatively inexpensive, durable and reliable, even after many cycles of use. These qualities make them an excellent choice for on off applications, where they are often preferred to gates valves.
